Mohamed Al Hammad is one of the most prominent experts in the field of human rights, both locally and internationally, and has a proven track record of extensive experience and international relations, which has qualified him to be close to the circle of decision-making and human rights issues.

Besides being the chairperson of the Civil and Political Rights Committee at NHRI, Al Hammadi is the president of the Jusoor International Center for Media and Development in Geneva, the editor-in-chief of the Jusoor Post news website, and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Journalists in Brussels.
He contributed to the establishment of the Young Arab Leaders Organisation, as a founding member and a former member of its board of directors.
Al Hammadi is a professional writer and journalist, with more than 25 years of experience in local and international journalism, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication from the United Arab Emirates University.  In 2018, he was elected the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association, and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Journalism Award and a member of the advisory board of the college of communication at the University of Sharjah.

He previously held the position of editor-in-chief of Al-Ittihad newspaper, then editor-in-chief of AlRoya newspaper, and he is the founder and first editor-in-chief of the Arabic version of National Geographic magazine.
