Klaithem Al Matrooshi is a leading figure and activist in the Emirati civil society and human rights institutions in the United Arab Emirates. She has always been considered a role model in the Emirati society, as one of the influential figures interested in advancing the rights of people with disabilities, enhancing their position, and encouraging them to practice leadership roles.
Being a person with a disability helped Al Matrooshi to play a vital role in society.

Al-Matrooshi who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from the United Arab Emirates University is a social activist in humanitarian achievements. She has established the “Ahali” Association for people with disabilities in the UAE, and she is a member of the board of directors of the Al-Thiqa Club for the handicapped. She is the director of the Al-Thiqa Club for Girls, a member of the Women’s Committee in Sharjah Sports Council, and a member of the Arab Women’s Committee of the “Arab Organisation for Persons with Disabilities.” She is a member of the Emirates Association for the Empowerment of Women with Disabilities and is a former member of the Emirates Association for Human Rights.
