Shahreyar Nawabi is a regional leader in data privacy studies in the Middle East and Asia. He is a certified lawyer and received his higher education studies in England. He obtained his Master of Laws degree from the University of London in 2000, and his Bachelor’s Degree of Law from Oxford University (jurisprudence) in 1988.
He joined the Emirates Group in 2012, where he previously held the position of Vice President for Legal Affairs and was appointed in 2018 as a former Group Data Privacy Officer, where he developed a market-leading privacy program for the Emirates Group, making him one of the most important specialists in this field at the regional level.
Nawabi leads a group of legal professionals who manage the legal affairs of companies globally. Prior to that, he worked in the most prominent law firms in the United Kingdom and provided legal advice to multinational companies, financial institutions, and governments. In 2008 he was appointed as the executive director of the Investment Corporation of Dubai "ICD".
